<p>The NTS Youth Shooting League program (NTS Youth) is dedicated to providing today's youth with the necessary skills and knowledge to understand how to safely use firearms for self-defense and various recreational and hobby sports. We aim to empower young individuals to engage in responsible firearm activities, promoting discipline, focus, and teamwork.</p>
<h2>About the NTS Youth Program</h2>
<p>NTS Youth recognizes the importance of educating and training young people in firearm handling and safety. Our league offers a unique opportunity for youth to learn from experienced instructors who specialize in firearm education. Through interactive workshops, practical shooting exercises, and informative sessions. Participants will gain the skills needed to responsibly enjoy the various recreational and hobby sports involving firearms.</p>
<h2>Empowering the Youth</h2>
<p>We believe that by equipping young individuals with the necessary skills, knowledge, and practice we can empower them to make grow into strong, confident, individuals capable of making responsible and informed decisions regarding where and when to appropriately use firearms. Our program focuses on teaching proper firearm safety, responsible gun ownership, self-defense and the importance of following local laws and regulations. Participants will also learn about the different types of firearms, their functionalities, and appropriate shooting techniques.</p>
<h2>Promoting Recreation and Hobby Sports</h2>
<p>In addition to self-defense, our NTS Youth program aims to introduce participants to a variety of recreational and hobby sports that involve firearms. Through hands-on activities and engaging demonstrations, attendees will have the opportunity to explore different shooting disciplines including competitive shooting. By exposing young individuals to these sports, we hope to foster a lifelong passion for responsible firearm use and promote a sense of camaraderie among participants.</p>

<p>Participating in NTS Youth program offers more than just firearm education. We provide a platform for youth to develop essential life skills such as discipline, focus, patience, and teamwork. By engaging in shooting sports, participants learn the value of perseverance, concentration, and self-control. These qualities not only benefit them at the shooting range but also in other aspects of their lives, helping them become well-rounded individuals.</p>

We invite all interested youth, parents, and guardians to join us and be a part of this enriching experience. Together, let's empower the youth of today and shape responsible firearm enthusiasts for a better tomorrow.</p>
<h2>Practice Times</h2>
<p>NTS Youth meets each Saturday between 2:00 pm - 4:00 PM at East Texas Rifle and Pistol Club (ETRPC) in Longview, Texas.</p>
<ul>
<li>ETRPC is a members only facility. Thus we must wait by the gate to allow students/parents access before and after practice.</li>
<li>Before practice: Entrance to ETRPC for NTS Youth, therefore, is from 1:45-1:55.
<ul>
<li>We understand this is a narrow time frame. However, it allows us to begin practice promptly at 2:00 pm, in order to provide the full two hours of training.</li>
</ul>

<li>After practice: Entrance to ETRPC for NTS Youth, therefore, is from 4:05 - 4:15.

<li>We understand this is a narrow time frame. However, it allows us to end practice promptly at 4:00 pm, in order to provide the full two hours of training.</li>

<p>Parents/Guardians</p>

<li>We welcome parents to remain with us through the full two hour practice.</li>
<li>We ask that parents allow us to do the teaching and training while students are participating in practice.</li>
<li>We welcome content related questions from parents at the end of the classroom period and at the end of the range period.</li>
</ul>

<li>We welcome volunteers with open arms.</li>
<li>As a thank you to our dependable* volunteers we offer you the opportunity to attend one of our License to Carry (LTC) training classes free of charge.&nbsp;</li>
